The short version

Your documents stay on your machine: in local mode nothing about your work is transmitted, and in anonymised mode only the stripped request needed to answer your question goes out. This website sets no cookies and runs no third-party trackers. We collect the minimum needed to operate: an email address if you give us one, payment records if you buy something, and IP-truncated server logs.

What we collect

• Website: server-side access logs with truncated IP addresses, kept for a limited period for security and aggregate statistics. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no third-party analytics.
• Email list: your address, only if you submit it, used only for milestone updates. Unsubscribe is one click; we never sell or share addresses.
• Purchases: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive transaction records, not your card number.
• The software: in local mode, the software makes no outbound transmission of your content. In anonymised mode, only the stripped request needed to answer your question is transmitted, as described at /local.

If you opt in to receive text messages from us, we use your number solely for the stated purpose; reply STOP to opt out. See the opt-in disclosure at signup.

Your rights

Contact founder@shortcut-linking.com to access or delete data we hold about you (for most users: an email address and nothing else).
